Literature Review: Manfaat Terapi Bekam Terhadap Kesehatan Fisik

Latar Belakang : Terapi bekam merupakan salah satu modalitas pengobatan tradisional dan komplementer yang banyak digunakan untuk mengatasi nyeri, gangguan fungsi fisik, serta masalah kesehatan kardiometabolik, namun bukti ilmiah mengenai manfaatnya terhadap kesehatan fisik masih tersebar dan belum tersintesis secara komprehensif. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan systematic literature review yang menelaah artikel-artikel ilmiah mengenai terapi bekam dan kesehatan fisik yang diperoleh dari beberapa basis data elektronik utama dengan kata kunci terkait terapi bekam, nyeri, fungsi fisik, dan parameter kardiometabolik, kemudian diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil : Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa terapi bekam berpotensi menurunkan nyeri muskuloskeletal (seperti nyeri punggung bawah, nyeri leher, dan migrain), memperbaiki beberapa aspek fungsi fisik (fleksibilitas, range of motion, dan pemulihan kelelahan otot), serta memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap beberapa parameter kardiometabolik tertentu pada kelompok populasi tertentu. Kesimpulan : Secara keseluruhan, terapi bekam dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai terapi komplementer yang berpotensi mendukung peningkatan kesehatan fisik, khususnya pada kondisi yang berkaitan dengan nyeri dan penurunan fungsi gerak, meskipun penerapannya tetap perlu disesuaikan dengan konteks klinis dan temuan evidence terkini.
