Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam perekonomian Indonesia, namun strategi pengembangan UMKM selama ini lebih berfokus pada kota besar sehingga potensi pasar di kota kecil belum tergarap optimal. Penelitian ini menganalisis kelayakan ekspansi Suga Souvenir—UMKM kreatif di Kalimantan Timur—ke menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif. Kerangka Business Model Canvas (BMC), Lean Canvas, dan teori Effectuation diintegrasikan untuk memetakan model bisnis, mengidentifikasi problem–solution fit, serta merumuskan strategi ekspansi yang feasible dan berbiaya minimal. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan workshop Lean Canvas, sementara data sekunder berasal dari dokumen internal dan literatur terkait. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk menginterpretasikan data dan divalidasi melalui triangulasi sumber. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kota memiliki potensi pasar signifikan, seperti rendahnya tingkat persaingan, kuatnya loyalitas pelanggan, serta tingginya kebutuhan terhadap produk souvenir kustom. Dengan menggunakan prinsip Effectuation—khususnya Bird-in-Hand, Affordable Loss, dan Crazy Quilt—dirumuskan strategi ekspansi yang memanfaatkan sumber daya yang ada, memperkuat kolaborasi lokal, dan meminimalkan risiko finansial. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis terkait integrasi BMC, Lean Canvas, dan Effectuation sebagai kerangka analisis kualitatif ekspansi UMKM ke kota serta menawarkan rekomendasi praktis bagi pelaku UMKM dan pemangku kebijakan daerah.
